Combi boilers
A combination boiler, also referred to as a combi boiler, is a condensing boiler that can provide both central heating and hot water. These boilers are compact and highly efficient, which makes them a popular choice for smaller residences. The term “combi” is derived from the fact that they can provide both heating and hot water.
Combi boilers function by heating water directly from the main cold water supply. Therefore, there’s no need for a hot water storage cylinder or cold water tank. This method of heating is both energy-efficient and cost-effective since water isn’t heated and stored in a tank. Due to their compact size and impressive features, combi boilers account for more than half of all domestic boiler installations in the UK each year.
